FeedDemon 1.0 RC4a Release Notes
November 24, 2003
Fixes in RC4a
- Duplicate
Alt+N accelerator on "Default Channel Groups" page of Welcome
- When a downloaded newspaper style replaces an older version of the same style, the newspaper continues to use the older version
- Date conversions fail to take daylight savings into account
- Address bar doesn't reflect correct URL after right-clicking in it and then clicking back or forward toolbuttons
- News item filter drops down after changing language
- Watches don't correctly handle characters such as ':' in their names
- Recoverable Access violation when viewing PowerPoint presentation in FeedDemon's browser
- The OK button doesn't become enabled in Channel Properties when an "auto-purge" or "auto-update" value is entered using the number pad
-
Newspapers are saved as UTF-8, but MSXML adds a UTF-16
META element, which causes problems with non-ASCII characters when newspapers
are viewed in Mozilla/Firebird
- Panel sizes aren't retained when shutting down Windows while FeedDemon is running
-
FDLANG language files that have accents in their filenames fail to download from some localized versions of Windows. To prevent this problem,
these FDLANG files have been renamed so that they always use "standard" ASCII characters. Because of this change, you may need to manually
delete the files
Español.fdlang and Français.fdlang which were installed by previous builds (you'll find these files
in FeedDemon's Data\Lang subfolder).
Known Issues
-
FeedDemon's date calculations are ISO 8601 compliant, which means that they treat Monday as the first day of the week. As a result,
grouping news items by date may show Sunday of the current week as "Last Week."
